It's been a crazy summer with the HEAT. Consequently we have not gotten as much done as we'd hoped. We did get a deck put on the house. We had someone else do it. (That's a story in itself, but I will spare you.) Still have a few finishing touches to add to it. This fall, we hope to work on the landscaping around it (weather willing).
Of course if you have a deck, you need furniture, right?! So we got in on some "end of season" sales and found some comfy furniture to enjoy. We have discovered that since the deck is on the west side of the house and we have no big trees to shade us, an awning of some sort is needed to an order has been placed with Sunsetter. It will also help with the sun coming in the sliding glass door into our dining area. Little by little as we live here we are learning about things to "feather our nest."
